Level 1–3 Qi Gong and moving meditation teacher training. International program. Online and in-person intensives in Bali and Europe.
The Qi Gong and Moving Meditation Teacher Training at White Tiger Qi Gong is a 200-hour multi-level pathway (Level 1 through Level 3) combining online instruction with in-person intensives in Bali and across Europe. The program is delivered by White Tiger Qi Gong, an international qigong school led by Tevia Feng that teaches a specific synthesis of Daoist qigong forms drawn from Tevia's lineage training. Tuition runs roughly $1,000 to $3,000 across the levels. Qigong sits at the moving-meditation edge of the contemplative-practice spectrum. The form combines slow movement, breath work, and meditative attention, and it carries thousands of years of Chinese internal-arts lineage. White Tiger's curriculum focuses on a defined set of forms taught across levels, with technique instruction increasingly precise as students move from Level 1 (foundational forms and principles) through Level 3 (advanced forms and teaching skills). The framing is both lineage-rooted (Daoist qigong) and contemporary (taught in English, internationally accessible, online available). What the multi-level program delivers: instruction in specific qigong forms across levels; the underlying principles of qi cultivation, breath, and movement; teaching skills for leading qigong sessions safely and clearly; and the option to combine online study with in-person intensives in Bali, Europe, or other White Tiger international locations. The hybrid format makes the program accessible to international students without requiring full residential commitment. The credential is White Tiger Qi Gong teacher certification at the level completed. It isn't accredited by Yoga Alliance, IMTA, GMC, or BAMBA. The credential's working weight comes from White Tiger's standing as an established international qigong school and from Tevia Feng's lineage credentials. For students whose target is teaching qigong in studios, retreat centers, online platforms, and wellness contexts, the credential fits the market.
The 200 hours unfold across three levels with progressive depth. Level 1 covers foundational qigong forms and principles: standing meditation (zhan zhuang), basic moving forms, breath cultivation, and the underlying qi theory. Level 2 builds with intermediate forms, partner work where applicable, and deeper instruction in qi cultivation across the body's energy channels. Level 3 covers advanced forms, teaching skills (how to lead a class, structure a multi-week course, adapt material for different student levels), and the integration of qigong with broader meditation and somatic practice. Reading draws on Daoist classical sources in translation alongside contemporary qigong literature. Practice is daily across all levels; qigong is form-based and requires sustained body practice rather than primarily intellectual study. The progression from Level 1 to Level 3 is the integrative arc.
Delivery is hybrid: online instruction (live and recorded) for theory, technique demonstration, and supervised review of student practice videos; in-person intensives in Bali, Europe, and other White Tiger international locations for the embodied work where physical presence with the teacher is most useful. Cohort sizes for in-person intensives are small enough for direct correction on form. Online instruction is asynchronous-friendly across time zones. The level-based progression lets students complete one level and pause before continuing, rather than committing to all 200 hours up front.
Graduates receive White Tiger Qi Gong teacher certification at the level completed. They're qualified to teach qigong in non-clinical settings: studios, retreat centers, online platforms, wellness contexts, and private clients. The credential isn't a clinical mindfulness pathway and doesn't substitute for MBSR, MBCT, or lineage-Buddhist teacher certifications. Common post-graduation paths include leading qigong classes in studios and online, integrating qigong into existing yoga or wellness practice, leading qigong segments at retreats, and joining the broader White Tiger international community.
No prior teacher training is required. An established personal practice is helpful but not required for Level 1. Applicants need to be physically able to sustain qigong practice; the form is gentle but requires sustained standing and slow movement, with adaptations available for students with significant physical limitations. English fluency and reliable internet access for online segments are assumed. Travel to Bali or European locations for in-person intensives is required for the residential pieces.
Among international qigong teacher training programs, White Tiger sits in the established mid-tier for international reach and price band. Compared to traditional Chinese qigong training in mainland China (which is typically taught in Mandarin and requires significant in-country residency), White Tiger is taught in English and accessible internationally without full relocation. Compared to Western qigong programs taught primarily online, White Tiger maintains the in-person intensive component that the embodied form requires. Compared to MBSR teacher training, this is moving-meditation specialty rather than clinical mindfulness; different category.
